Focus Energy is a Shinbone Labs distribution company operating in Benin, West Africa.

Shinbone Labs is a California based solar energy company offering power services to millions of off-grid communities in West Africa through customer financing, mobile money and remote load switching technologies. Shinbone Labs currently operates in Benin and Ghana and is the first West African company to provide solar energy, let customers pay as they go, and upgrade to unlimited power. We sell locally assembled, expandable, low-cost solar kits that can be remotely activated, monitored and, paid by mobile phones.

Our vision: Shinbone Labs relies on the core principles of honesty, attention to detail, and unity in diversity. We envision a society where smart energy and internet are available to all, where products are designed with circular economy approach. We have a plan to reach 100,000 users by 2020.
