Gender-based Violence Prevention Program Specialist
Permanent Civil Service Position - Full-time position.
The Program Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Division’s new Gender-based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Intervention portfolio that provides a holistic approach to addressing the diverse needs of adults and youth who are victims or survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault through the following priority programs: Advocacy and Education, Crisis Lines, Emergency Shelter, Legal Services and Transitional Housing.
The Program Specialist will be responsible for working directly with community-based partners in managing the Division’s GBV portfolio and will include (but not limited to) the following priorities: daily oversight of the GBV nonprofit grant portfolio with services that best support impacted residents; support the GBV procurement selection process by reviewing and evaluating proposals; effectively communicating with grantees on a regular basis to provide technical assistance on program operations and reporting; drafting scopes of work with targeted outcomes that align with initiative priorities; regularly managing the collection and analysis of data to evaluate performance and impact; working in cohesion with MOHCD GBV Program Manager to align efforts with MOHCD fiscal, contract and data staff to best implement programming; and support leading a collaborative approach with multiple partners and stakeholders to collectively address the needs of victims or survivors of gender-based violence.
