Middle School English Teacher (ELA)

The English Teacher is responsible for preparing lessons, assignments, and instructional materials for students in grades 5-8. The teacher will establish learning objectives consistent with appraisal of student needs, curriculum framework, and knowledge of student growth and development; selects and uses appropriate instructional strategies to evaluate student progress including, but not limited to, individual/group discussions, demonstrations, modeling and multimedia teaching aids to present subject matter to students; create an engaging classroom environment that provides for active student involvement in the learning process and enables each student to achieve at the highest level; confers with parents and students regarding progress/opportunities of assigned students; arranges and participates in teacher-parent or teacher-student conferences as necessary; performs other instructional related duties as assigned. Highly Qualified
