Mercy Housing Lakefront (MHL) is one of the nations leading nonprofit developers of program-enriched, affordable housing. MHL’s mission is to create stable, vibrant, and healthy communities by developing, financing, and operating affordable, program-enriched housing for families, seniors, and people with special needs who lack the economic resources to access quality, safe housing opportunities. Established in 1986, MHL was the first Midwest nonprofit to own and operate Single Room Occupancy housing and among the first in the country to create Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), now considered the industry standard for addressing chronic homelessness. In December 2005, what was then called Lakefront Supportive Housing became a regional organization of Mercy Housing, Inc., and was renamed Mercy Housing Lakefront. The merger increased the organization’s capacity for innovative housing development and expanded its focus to include more low-income seniors and families. Today, MHL provides services-enriched affordable housing to approximately 7,000 residents at 46 properties in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. The goal of the project is to develop systems and processes to increase information management into the department culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and be able to think critically when analyzing data and processes. Candidates will be able to work collaboratively and embrace teamwork.
