About Global Philadelphia Association:

The Global Philadelphia Association (GPA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation

founded in 2010 by nine of the leading international organizations in the

Greater Philadelphia Region. Global Philadelphia Association’s mission is to

assist and encourage greater interaction among the many organizations and

people who engage in international activity within the Greater Philadelphia

Region; to promote the development of an international consciousness; and to

enhance the region’s global profile.

Today, over 190 organizations, businesses, and internationally-minded individuals have become joint venturers in the Global Philadelphia initiative, and more are joining each month. In 2015, Philadelphia became a World Heritage City through a partnership between GPA and the City of Philadelphia.

Job Description:

Office Manager will assist GPA in the communication, marketing, and outreach of the association’s initiatives, events, and programs, while maintaining office administrative duties.

This position is ideal for someone looking to work in a dynamic, highly committed organization, but seeks to have time for other activities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Invoicing and Bookkeeping for member businesses, organizations, and World Heritage Sponsors and donors
  • Processing credit card and check transactions
  • Contracts record keeping
  • Help with recruitment of interns and volunteers
  • Updating and creating association marketing materials as needed
  • Ordering of office supplies and printed materials
  • Maintains hands-off management of GPA social media accounts
  • Assisting in the planning and coordination of association events and quarterly meetings
  • Minimal technical support to members, stakeholders, and staff (e.g. Login Management)
  • Maintain Quarterly Board Meetings
  • Various other tasks and duties per the request of the Executive Director, Board of Directors, or Board Chair

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Preferred, but strong experience is considered equally)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
  • Sound analytical skill
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Social Media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
  • Knowledge of a foreign language and/or global experience/mindset
  • Experience of Bookkeeping/Office Work: 2-3years (Preferred)

Notes:

  • Hybrid option available but regular office presence needed
  • Hybrid Co-Located Team
  • Close work and collaboration with Executive Director in a collegial positive environment
  • Long-term commitment is hoped for
