Youth Collaboratory is inviting applications and nominations for a Human Resources Manager. Working in concert with the organization-wide planning process, the HR Manager is responsible for overseeing Human Resource activities, policies, and programs that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards. The HR Manager is a full-time exempt position and reports to the Deputy Director, Administration.
Building and Managing Effective Systems, Policies, and Practice
The new HR Manager will evaluate the HR function for continuous improvement and identify and implement effective and efficient solutions. They will ensure compliance with organizational policies that reflect organizational values while complying with federal, country, state, and local laws and regulations. They will assist the Deputy Director of Administration in creating the annual budget, budget revisions, and long-term financial plans related to human resources and talent acquisition.
Employee Relations and HR Partnership
The HR Manager will serve as a strategic partner to the Deputy Director of Administration and the leadership team, proactively identifying and improving areas of weakness regarding people, talent, structures, processes, and organizational culture. They will build relationships with departments and leaders across the organization to increase communication and transparency and support HR needs. They will serve as a tactful HR leader to discuss and problem-solve confidential and personal experiences within the organization.
Managing Total Employee Lifecycle
The HR Manager will manage all employee lifecycle programs to ensure staff are supported, engaged, and motivated to do their best work – from recruitment to onboarding, talent management, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, to transition management and offboarding. They will serve as the first point of contact for all employee questions regarding payroll, benefit plans/enrollment/life changes, employment verifications, and personnel policies, including retirement benefits. In some cases, they will partner with external consultants to evaluate, develop, and implement HR programs across the organization.
Organizational Culture, Equity, and Inclusion
The HR Manager will play a critical role as a “culture keeper” to create strategies that promote employee engagement, development, retention, and foster a workplace that supports, accepts, and values differences between its people.
