    Descripción

    Background

ITPC was birthed in 2003 in Cape Town, South Africa, by a committed group of 125 HIV activists from 65 countries who refused to accept a world in which people living with HIV were denied access to life-saving medicine. As ITPC grew into a Global Activist Network (GAN) advocating for the needs of communities affected by HIV and TB, it also laid the groundwork for community-driven work extending beyond singular diseases and addressing the systemic issues affecting people’s health and quality of life— exposing and resisting entrenched global power dynamics that consistently prioritize privilege and profit over the right to health and dignity. Today, we celebrate 20 years, highlighting progress in the fight for equitable access and affordability to treatment, amplifying community power, and building resilience within communities.

ITPC seeks a consultant to serve as a quantitative advisor and analyst – to support the quantitative research and analysis interventions for the Watch What Matters & Building Resilient Communitas team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Quantitative Research and Analysis:
      • Guide the development, refinement, and alignment of project indicators and data collection tools for quantitative components.
      • Design and implement quantitative research methodologies, systems, and tools to support implementing partners.
      • Assess and address research capacity gaps among implementing partners by providing tailored technical assistance, capacity-building, and skills enhancement in quantitative methods.
      • Ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement in partner data collection, analysis, and outputs through technical oversight and guidance.
      • Facilitate the analysis and synthesis of quantitative data, deriving actionable insights for internal use and donor-facing deliverables (e.g., grant updates, final reports, presentations).
      • Conduct spot check-ins and provide refresher trainings as needed to strengthen the quantitative data management and analysis capabilities of partners.
      • Provide ad-hoc technical support and troubleshooting for quantitative research needs as they arise.
    2. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
      • Participate in project meetings, donor engagements, and stakeholder consultations to align research activities with broader strategic goals and project objectives.
      • Act as a liaison to ensure integration of quantitative findings with qualitative insights and other programmatic components.
    3. Cross-Cutting Support:
      • Adapt to emerging needs by supporting broader technical assistance, training, and advisory functions across related research and programmatic areas.
      • Contribute to developing resources, templates, and knowledge products that enhance the overall effectiveness of the team’s research and advocacy efforts.

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    • Degree in public health
    • 5-10 years’ experience working within global health
    • Experienced in working with global health donors within the HIV context
    • Experience working with key and vulnerable population-led networks and communities
