Operations Coordinator (Full-Time)

Responsibilites

Operations:

• Manage incoming in-kind donations and current inventory
• Train and manage volunteers to support receiving of in-kind donations
• Maintain inventory valuations and develop strategy for ensuring consistent accuracy
• Support organization and cleanliness of warehouse
• Maintain relationships with vendors
• Provide logistics assistance to receiving and distribution, as identified

Volunteer Management: 

• Manage scheduling and logistics for individual, group, and private volunteer sessions
• Prepare projects and assignments for volunteer groups
• Oversee growth and management of volunteer experiences

Communications and Outreach: 

• Support Social Media activity and messages
• Manage acknowledgements and thank you letters for in-kind donors and volunteers
• Support outreach and communications for in-kind campaigns including Retail, Corporate, Pediatric, and Community-Based Engagement

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support ongoing fundraising efforts by staffing events, assisting the Director of Operations & Development with related tasks and researching potential new funding streams
• Other database entry, as needed
• Other ad hoc tasks and projects that will allow for learning and contribution to the overall organization

Qualifications

• Passion for and commitment to Share Our Spare’s mission
• College degree preferred
• 1-3 years of previous professional experience preferred
• Spanish language skills a plus 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google programs (e.g. Drive, Docs, Sheets, Word, and Excel) 
• Experience with donor and inventory management databases a plus
• Ability to work and manage projects independently as well as collaboratively
• Proven record of proactive problem solving, effectively taking initiative, and strategic thinking. 
• Strong organizational skills, both in terms of time management and in detail-oriented work
• Access to reliable transportation
• Ability to walk up and down stairs, lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs including donated items that may vary in weight and size; may include strollers, boxes of diapers, garbage bags of clothing, pack n plays, etc.
• Ability to work in or outside a warehouse space, or on a loading dock where temperatures can vary
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required
