Position Summary

The Giving Circles Community Manager will play a key role in the Giving Circles team’s engagement efforts as the Giving Circles program undergoes rapid expansion. This position plays a critical role in ensuring Giving Circles have what they need to reach their goals and shepherds them through the full cycle of a Giving Circle via streamlined engagement and communications. This position will report to the Deputy Director of Giving Circles and work closely with the Head of Giving Circles.

Responsibilities

Giving Circle Stewardship

  • Develop meaningful relationships with Giving Circle Leaders to build trust and consistent communication as a means of successfully shepherding them through the full Giving Circle experience
  • Act as the main point of contact for all Giving Circle Leaders, maintaining proactive and consistent communication, and responding to requests in a timely manner, including leveraging other members of the Giving Circles Team as needed
  • Partner with the Head of Giving Circles to strategize and identify ways to ensure long-time Giving Circle relationships are maintained at a high standard
  • Identify internal and external communication and marketing opportunities to ensure Giving Circles have the content they need to seamlessly and successfully reach their goals, and manage associated workflows with relevant teams
  • Participate in identifying needs for trainings and other educational opportunities for Giving Circles, and project manage workflows with relevant teams to produce and deliver live, recorded, and written material
  • Apply a DEIB lens (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging) to all elements of stewardship with Giving Circles, including being responsive to the needs and helping to educate Giving Circles throughout each cycle

Giving Circles Operations

  • Manage all components of the engagement portion of the Giving Circles pipeline to ensure the GC Team and the organization at large are meeting the needs of Giving Circles in a timely, responsive manner
  • In partnership with the Deputy Director of Giving Circles, determine needs for tracking and reporting on engagement data and metrics, and ensure ongoing and accurate data management
  • In partnership with the Deputy Director of Giving Circles, collaborate on the engagement portion of the Giving Circles pipeline to ensure seamless interaction with and support for all Giving Circle leaders and members
  • In partnership with the Deputy Director of Giving Circles and Giving Circles Program Associate, ensure we maintain accurate and clear tracking of Giving Circle leaders and members via the GC Home, CRM, and finance database systems
  • Provide data updates related to Giving Circles engagement-focused OKRs
  • Project manage the creation and revision of resources for Giving Circles, including overseeing the Giving Circles library
  • Staff events/travel as necessary, in both lead and support roles

Team Support

  • Participate in overall organizational, departmental, and programmatic strategic planning processes
  • Recommend and support organizational improvements related to values, leadership, management, communication, culture, norms, systems, and processes
  • Participate in org-wide DEIB planning and programming
  • Serve on various internal committees as requested 
  • Represent the organization at external events

Benefits

The position offers a competitive benefits package, including 75% paid coverage of medical, dental, and vision for individuals and families, unlimited PTO, 401(k), an annual professional development stipend, and paid family leave. The salary for this position is $85,000 per year. 

Position Details

This is a full-time, exempt position. Some travel will be required once it is safe. Additional evening and weekend hours are occasionally required to fulfill the duties of this position.
