Welicar Educational Centre, located in the heart of Dandora, Nairobi County, is seeking dedicated volunteers from around the globe to join our mission of providing quality education and support to underprivileged children in our community.
About Us:
At Welicar Educational Centre, we believe that education is a powerful tool for change. Our center serves children from slum areas, offering them not only academic support but also life skills, mentorship, and a safe space to grow and thrive. We strive to create a nurturing environment that empowers our students to achieve their dreams.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach and assist in various subjects, including literacy, mathematics, and arts.
- Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as sports, music, and workshops.
- Provide mentorship and support to students, helping them develop confidence and resilience.
- Collaborate with local staff to enhance educational programs and community outreach.
Who You Are:
- Passionate about education and community service.
- Open-minded and adaptable, with a desire to learn from diverse cultures.
- Willing to commit a minimum of [duration, e.g., 1 month, 3 months] to our program.
- Previous teaching or mentoring experience is a plus but not required.
