    Outreach and Program Administrative Coordinator

    Locations: Barnegat & West Creek, NJ

    Work setting: In-person

    Responsibilities.

    • This position will work directly with our Operations Director on the day-to-day administrative operations to support the organization's success.
    • Perform general office duties, including answering telephones, responding to inquiries, managing mail, managing and organizing files and the shared drive, and maintaining office supplies.
    • The ideal candidate is motivated, able to handle multiple kinds of tasks, passionate about working in a nonprofit setting, and interested in helping create opportunities for people in recovery and those who use drugs.
    • General research and filing tasks as assigned to assist with general operations of the organization
    • Support outreach programs, including education and community awareness, health fairs, and community-facing events. This involves high-level coordination of activities, managing team activities, and tracking key program deliverables and benchmarks.
    • Positively represent the organization at inter-agency initiatives, community events, and fairs.
    • Recommend improvements or propose new programs and processes to enhance operations.
    • Build harm reduction toolkits and track inventory.

    Required Qualifications:

    • At least 2-3 years of experience in office administration or a similar setting.
    • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on various projects.
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across racial, gender, and socioeconomic identities.
    • Punctual and reliable, with excellent time-management skills.Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM database management.

    Work Schedule

    Full-time position; typical hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and some nights and weekends. The candidate must be willing to work the occasional non-traditional hours (nights and weekends).

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to transport materials.
    • Routinely moves equipment or supplies weighing up to 30 lbs.
    • Street-level outreach and events require long periods of canvassing and standing/sitting.

    Newly Hired Employees

    All employees are considered to be in a trial period during the first 90 calendar days of employment. The ninety-day trial period may be extended, where appropriate, at the discretion of the employee’s supervisor. The notification of extension will be in writing. During this time, the staff member determines whether or not the position meets his or her expectations, and the supervisor determines whether or not the staff member possesses the knowledge, skills, and necessary competencies to perform satisfactorily. Under New Jersey law, all employment is at-will. This trial period does not alter the employment-at-will status of any employee. An employee may resign from Sea Change and be separated from the organization at any time, with or without notice or cause.
