The role of Finance Director / Controller is responsible for the timeliness, accuracy and integrity of the financial reports, audit and systems of Temple Sholom. Responsibilities also include analysis and reliability of the operating procedures for all programs and financial systems to ensure an appropriate level of internal control over financial reporting and the safe guarding of assets. In addition, this position is responsible for managing and assisting in Human Resources related activities. To execute these responsibilities, the individual must communicate effectively with all levels of staff within the organization, Board members, vendors, outside agencies and membership. Critical to the success of this individual will be the qualities of initiative and follow through, the ability to research all aspects of the problem and to recommend, and after approval, to implement and verify solutions.
