COLEGIO AMERICANO DEL SUR

  • We are a NEASC accredited Nursery-12th grade school in Santa Lucia, Cotzumaguapa, Guatemala, Central America. We promote a bilingual, bi-cultural learning environment. We are one of two LAB school-based learning centers in Guatemala and have the freedom to utilize school-wide cutting-edge teaching and learning strategies.
  • Using student assessment data is important to us, since we work on research projects that help local public schools. We use MAP assessment to guide us with individual student learning levels. MAP is aligned with Khan Academy and NEWSELA platforms and provides an amazing collaboration overlap. (If you do not have experience with these platforms support is provided.)

Tech support is school-wide and you can improve your tech skills by being mentored by one of our tech specialists if needed. We have 3-D printers which help to enhance our teaching strategies. We also have a large number of educational drones which are used in a special drone class.
