Job Summary

Bridging Access to Care (BAC) is a community-based organization that offers a wide range of services, including prevention education, supportive housing, social services, substance

use treatments, and mental health services. We are looking for an innovative

and capable individual to coordinate the implementation of our marketing and

branding strategies. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Marketing and

Communications Coordinator will be involved in the content development and

execution of all marketing and outreach activities targeting clients, community

partners, and donors, including but not limited to email, social media, printed

flyers, and newsletters. This position will also support internal communications

and event planning and execution.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

External Communications and Marketing

  • Design, develop, and deliver content for marketing materials, including emails, flyers, posters, and brochures for the agency and programs as needed.
  • Ensure content across BAC’s website is current.
  • Conduct interviews with constituents, including staff, clients, community partners, and volunteers, to create a collection of written profiles and testimonials for current and future use in communications, including the program and annual reports.
  • Develop and maintain a contact list of current and potential supporters and partners.
  • Copy editing to ensure published content is free from typos and grammatical errors.
  • Social Media and Outreach
  • Create, schedule, and publish content across all social media platforms, including approximately 1 post per day on Facebook and Instagram accounts and approximately 1 post per week on TikTok, and ensure content is optimized for maximum engagement across all social media platforms.
  • Maintaining BAC’s communications calendar and social media queue by tracking when communications are completed.
  • Internal Communications Design, write, and distribute the quarterly digital newsletter for staff.
  • Assist with planning, promotion, and engagement of all-staff events.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be comfortable working with intergenerational and multicultural/racial groups, queer and same-gender-loving men of color, and people who were homeless, mentally ill, substance users, or involved in the criminal justice systems.
  • Excellent spelling and grammar.
  • Punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of one of the following service areas is required – HIV/Hep C/ STI prevention education, harm reduction, substance use treatment, or mental health services.
  • Knowledge of creating and posting content on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok is required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (some evening and Saturday hours as needed)

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree

LICENSURE: N/A

CERTIFICATION: N/A

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum two (2) years of experience creating marketing materials (printed and online) for

at least one of the following service areas: HIV/Hep C/ STI prevention

education, harm reduction, substance use treatment, or mental health services,

including using Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok for targeted and public

engagement. Minimum two (2) years of experience planning and executing

marketing and branding strategies. Experience organizing networking, community,

and/or gala-type events is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
