College Access Coordinator

For nearly 40 years, Legal Outreach has been raising the bar of academic achievement for urban youth from underserved communities in New York City. Through intensive legal and educational programs, Legal Outreach works with students from 8th grade through high school to provide them with the vision, skills, and support they need to matriculate at selective colleges.

Job Description: Primary Responsibilities

• Conducting weekly workshops for high school students during the

academic year.

• Coordinating College Tours and Fairs virtually and live.
• Coordination college representative visits to LO site.
• Designing and implementing after-school community building activities for advisory groups.
• Providing guidance, motivation, advice, and referrals to College Bound students and/or their families on the College Process
• Coordinating and conducting advisory workshops for high school seniors
• Developing, disseminating, collecting, and analyzing information related to students’ academic performances.
• Writing recommendations
• Writing reports and providing program updates to the College Access Director & the Executive Director.
• Assisting with other projects and events on occasion.
