TheatreSquared seeks several full-time Marketing Associates to join the organization’s team while working to develop a larger and more inclusive audience in its brand-new, state-of-the art, $31 million home. Under the leadership of the Director of Marketing and Communications, this team member will support ticketing and earned revenue initiatives for the non-profit organization, in a culture of high-level customer service and effective communication. This staff member will also create and maintain materials that align with T2’s mission and brand. 

The Marketing Associate roles will have a special focus on marketing, graphic/creative design, analytics, and/or communications. Each associate will focus on 2-3 of the following department objectives: audience acquisition & development, content creation & social media engagement, graphic & visual identity, or layout & web design. AVAILABLE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Marketing

  • Exemplify the TheatreSquared core values with others to advance the organization’s mission.
  • Serve as the TheatreSquared marketing support contact, providing excellent customer service and timely follow-up.
  • Help develop compelling multi-channel campaigns, creating a consistent look and feel across a variety of mediums including social media, email marketing, fund development materials, special events, and on site marketing campaigns.
  • Submit ideas for marketing initiatives designed to enhance and grow the company's audience in Northwest Arkansas and online.

Graphic/Creative Design

  • Generate key video and graphic assets (in partnership with outside contractors) used to drive marketing campaigns, and deliver high-quality media files for print and digital across all departments within the organization, including development, programming, fundraising, merchandise, and show programs.
  • Work closely with the team to create graphic pieces for display, mailing, advertorial placement, and other signage.
  • Work in collaboration with the Marketing team on the collection, organization and management of content including stories, testimonials, photos and videos for use on digital properties and in marketing/fundraising campaigns.
  • Maintain design and photography library, ensuring files are prepped for final output in both web optimization and pre-press.
  • Maintain industry-leading knowledge of graphic design and applicable software, stay abreast of industry and design trends.

Analytics

  • Create weekly reports and analysis for direct mail, ad placements, and email blasts.
  • Collaborate to conduct market analysis to keep up with changing demographic and other relevant issues to assist with evaluating marketing and communication activities. 
  • Work to improve various TheatreSquared websites with updates to content while accurately tracking customer behavior with use of code and web development (CSS/HTML).
  • Assist with maintaining and updating various databases with confidential, proprietary information.
  • Maintain industry-leading knowledge of analytics and applicable software, stay abreast of industry trends.

Writing/Communications

  • Write persuasive, compelling, storytelling language for show campaigns, email messages, web headlines, social posts, and press releases—ensuring that messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing strategy and T2’s aspiration to attract, engage and inspire audiences.
  • Help brainstorm pitches and new connections for editorial press opportunities
  • Successfully adhere to, and manage updates of, brand standards documentation across all organization touch points.
  • Plan and execute all digital marketing, including but not limited to: email, social media, SEO/SEM, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Assist in monitoring active marketing programs, delivering content via social media channels, email, or direct mail, and developing ways to improve those campaigns. 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic design, English/creative writing/communications, or a related field with a minimum of two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service and both written and verbal communication.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time and deliver within deadlines.
  • Must be goal-oriented, self-motivated, highly-flexible and able to accept feedback.

DESIRABLE SKILL SETS

  • Strong proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a portfolio provided (provide link to digital portfolio). 
  • Understanding of typography, layout, web and email design, photo editing, color balance, core design principles and branding.
  • Experience working on copy generation. (Work samples encouraged)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This full-time, exempt position includes an annual salary in the range of $40,000-50,000, commensurate with experience. Full-time benefits include health; dental; paid time off; relocation assistance; paid parental leave; professional development allowance; employer-sponsored long-term and short-term disability; $100,000 in employer-sponsored term life insurance; and voluntary 401(k).

Now in its 16th season, TheatreSquared’s challenging, heartfelt, and intimate productions reach 60,000 patrons each year, including more than 20,000 students and their teachers. T2 fills a crucial niche in the region’s cultural landscape as the only year-round, producing professional theatre within a 150-mile radius, operating on an annual budget of $7 million. TheatreSquared employs trained artists from across the country to create its 330 annual performances and is contracted with Actors' Equity Association.
