The Fairyland Human Resources Manager leads the people strategy and is the primary contact for all HR matters at the Fairyland. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for managing the systems and processes that support our employees and contractors, in a manner that is aligned with the vision and values of Fairyland. In collaboration with the Executive Director, this role is responsible for drafting new personnel policies, designing employee lifecycle procedures, making system configuration changes and/or identifying new systems to support HR processes as needed. As an HR department of one working with a regular full-time staff of thirty (30) and anywhere from twenty-five (25) to fifty (50) part-time and seasonal staff, this role is ideal for a candidate who is energized by creating systems and has the knowledge to work independently as an advisor to the senior management team on personnel issues, while ensuring that Fairyland is compliant with all federal, state and local statutes. This role regularly collaborates with members of the Finance team in the Administration department.

Visited by Walt Disney as he was conceptualizing Disneyland, Fairyland has inspired many other fairytale-themed parks across the United States. Over 220,000 visitors enjoy Fairyland’s many activities and programs annually, and through our outreach program, free or reduced admission is offered to over 16,000 children and families every year. Fairyland operates 362 of 365 days a year, weather permitting.

This is a regular, full-time, exempt position scheduled for 40 hours per week. While our preferred schedule is Tuesdays through Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., we are happy to offer flexibility in crafting an alternate full-time schedule together.
