Overview:
The Senior Director of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Programs is a new role that signifies renewed efforts by Juilliard to meet and engage alumni, parents, and current students in a culture of philanthropy. Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer, this role will lead staff and volunteers to increase engagement with and subsequent investment in The Juilliard School (Juilliard) by managing the current Alumni Relations, Annual Giving, Membership, and Events teams.
The new unified team will be responsible for overseeing the ideation and execution of in-person and online programming that engages alumni and parents in creative and relevant ways. Through these opportunities, the team will create engagement that leads to inspired, increased and consistent philanthropic support of the school and its programs.
The Senior Director must be an effective and enthusiastic leader who excels at building enduring internal and external relationships, such as partnering with and celebrating a diverse alumni base, while strengthening and supporting processes that align with the values of Juilliard. The incumbent must demonstrate a nuanced, sophisticated approach to advancement work that recognizes Juilliard’s unique position within higher education, and will call upon best practices within the industry, data analytics, and strong intuitive skills to apply to the Juilliard context, leading to increased engagement and philanthropic support. The incumbent will lead a unified and strategic outreach effort to sustain and expand commitment and engagement among all Juilliard alumni and parents in partnership with school leadership, senior colleagues and other key stakeholders.
The salary range for this role is $185,000-$200,000, based on experience and skillset.
