Field Supervisor

The Association of Community Employment Programs for the Homeless (ACE) works with individuals throughout NYC, providing job training, work experience and a lifetime support network to help our program participants secure full-time employment and achieve long-term economic independence.

The field supervisor will be responsible for operating an ACE service vehicle, visiting contracted sites around NYC, performing maintenance services (plant watering, power washing, snow removal, etc.). All applicants must posses a clean and valid New York State Drivers License and a clean New York State driving record abstract. Other duties include:

·      Reporting on status of vehicle, and equipment, completing daily usage logs, and coordinating regular vehicle maintenance as needed

·      Accessing New York City fire hydrants to fill watering tank

·      Delivering equipment and workers to ACE contract sites as needed

·      Supervisory experience a plus

·      Experienced with driving in New York City and the five boroughs

·      Horticultural background or interest a plus

·      Experience operating gas powered machines, including a snow blower, power washer, etc.

·      Excellent interpersonal skills

·      A commitment to or interest in helping formerly homeless individuals pursue their long-term vocational goals
