Development Director

Meals on Wheels People is an organization founded in and by the community! Over the past 53 years, our nonprofit has helped thousands of older adults in the Portland Metro area keep their independence through weekly meal delivery and social connections. With over 20 meal delivery centers throughout Multnomah, Washington, and Clark counties, our staff and thousands of volunteers ensure that no adult over 60 goes hungry or experiences social isolation.

We are searching for an experienced Development Director to join our team. The Development Director will be responsible for creating and leading fundraising strategies, including donor research and cultivation, planned giving, corporate partnerships and annual fundraising events. The position will work with corporate partners, donors, volunteers and will supervise assigned staff.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of proven experience in meeting and exceeding fundraising goals in a non-profit setting, hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field and have familiarity with donor relations, project management and donor tracking software.
