The National Cryptologic Foundation (NCF) is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing cyber awareness and opportunity – inspiring youth, supporting tomorrow’s workforce, and strengthening digital resilience through education, innovation, and public/private collaboration. NCF works closely with the National Security Agency (NSA) and other partners to promote innovation, integrity, and service in cyber and cryptology.
Position Summary
As President and CEO, you will serve as the Foundation's principal advocate to educate the Nation on the importance of cyber security. Working in close collaboration with the Board of Directors, you will build and strengthen relationships across government, industry, and academia to enhance the Foundation’s impact and ensure its long-term sustainability.

- Subject Matter Expert – Strong knowledge of the cyber, cryptology, and national security mission space; proven organizational leadership.
- Innovator – Advances the cryptology mission space by connecting leaders and ideas to shape future breakthroughs, balancing innovation with organizational capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of a long-term strategic plan in alignment with NCF’s mission.
- Serve as spokesperson and thought leader on cyber and cryptology education.
- Design and execute fundraising strategies, donor cultivation, and outreach initiatives.
- Strengthen partnerships with NSA, government, industry, and academia.
- In conjunction with NSA, promote “Convening to Act” seminars, which enhance critical thinking and education on strategic issues facing the cyber security industry.
- Oversee operations, staff, volunteers, and an annual budget of ~$1.6M, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, legal and ethical standards applicable to non-profit organizations.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors and all Committees providing timely and accurate information for effective decision making. Plan and facilitate regular Board Meetings.
Qualifications
- 5 – 10 years senior leadership experience in nonprofit, government, or national security sectors.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, cryptology, and the Intelligence Community.
- Demonstrated fundraising and donor relations success.
- Effective communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing budgets and building high-performing teams.
- Proven commitment to education, innovation, and preserving cryptologic history.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of trust, empowerment, and collaboration.
