Descripción

Specific Functions   

  • Apply to, recruit volunteers for, and host all tabling events inSeattle and statewide     
  • Recruit and build relationships with existing and new volunteers, especially in Seattle and other target regions     
  • Host weekly phonebanks for volunteer outreach and connection     
  • Host monthly trainings to educate new supporters   
  • Manage volunteer data         
  • Publish all Seattle events in our volunteer database, Mobilize, and update volunteer shifts       
  • Ensure that regional volunteers have equipment for events    
  • Support monthly webinars 
  • Write memorandums for all events that include other staff members      
  • Document each event with pictures and/or short videos 

Skills & Qualifications

The successful candidate will demonstrate the skills to support our programs and a genuine passion for the mission of FairVote Washington. Relevant experience matters, but we also deeply value enthusiasm, organization, and a drive to learn.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and in team settings 
  • Commitment to working in a nonpartisan manner within a politically diverse organization 

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge about ranked-choice voting and enthusiasm to bring it to Washington state
  • Experience using EveryAction, Voter Activation Network, or Votebuilder 
  • Experience attending or hosting phonebanks and tabling on behalf of a cause or candidate 
  • Basic understanding of Washington State’s political landscape, including the state legislature and campaign schedule 
  • Experience building relationships with volunteers 
  • Customer service/hospitality experience

Compensación

  • Medical/Dental/Vision - employer contributes $250/mo to a Qualified Small Employer Health Reimbursement Arrangement (QSEHRA) account 
  • Generous Paid Time Off includes federal holidays, the week between Christmas and New Year’s, plus fifteen vacation days per year
