Position Title: Outreach and Community Engagement Coordinator

Reports to: Director, Roosevelt Island Older Adult Center

Work Site Location: Roosevelt Island Older Adult Center, 546 Main Street, Roosevelt Island, New York, NY 10044

Status: Full-Time

Compensation: $50,000-$54,000 annual salary

Essential Duties and Functions:

• Direct outreach to the community; the goal being new collaborations, new initiatives and higher numbers of seniors attending the center
• Management and promotion of all educational, recreational and health activities - maintain center's info hub and outreach communication, including all signage, posters, flyers, menus, schedules, newsblasts, etc.
• Creation and promotion of new activities or programs
• Management of special events/celebrations/trips
• Organization of off-site events
• Documentation of all activities for DFTA purposes
• Coordinate and track volunteers on site
• Oversee home delivered meal program + manage statistical reporting
• Assist with home delivered meal delivery as needed
• Coordinate office supply orders
• Attend all required trainings
• Accept additional assignments as appropriate to meet the needs of RISC and participants/members
• Reports to Program Director

• Project management experience – ability to juggle several priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Positive, can-do attitude – ability to problem solve with creativity and patience
• Experience and/or interest in working with the older adult population
• Proficiency with MS Office/Google Docs
• Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required
