Independent Contractor: Transportation Education Presenter

BACKGROUND

The client’s transportation education and outreach project focuses on educating older adults and those with mobility challenges about local transportation options and how to access these services. The client offers these services to seniors residing in Washington DC.

SCOPE OF WORK

Contractor will conduct basic educational presentations and disburse educational materials using information and materials provided by the Client. Contractor will schedule and deliver presentations at senior service provider venues, senior housing, libraries, and recreation centers. Specific services to be provided by the contractor are listed below.

• Access to transportation materials
• Basic mobility education and counseling presentations
• Awareness of alternative modes of transportation
• Engagement with alternative modes of transportation
• Instruction on how to use transportation-oriented websites and apps
• One-on-one, in-person instruction on the use of transportation apps and websites

DELIVERABLES

Payment will be made in monthly installments based on the completion of deliverables.

• Conduct basic presentations to deliver existing transportation information and materials consistent with descriptions given in the Scope of Work
• Conduct 8 in-person presentations
• Conduct 4 in-person app and website assistance sessions
• Conduct 3 virtual presentations
• Participate in bi-weekly reporting

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with community-based education and outreach practices
• Experienced presenter and facilitator
• Able to work days.
