Nonotuck Community School in Florence, MA is a vibrant non-profit preschool. It is known for its creative and emergent curriculum, unionized staff, and active parent cooperative and is seeking a full-time preschool co-teacher. Opening is ASAP. 

About the position: 

This full time co-teacher position works alongside a Lead Teacher to design and lead activities for a classroom of four and five year olds. Our teachers work collaboratively with children and with one another to creatively explore young children’s interests, develop their self-esteem, and build community bonds. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Lead Teacher to develop curriculum and lead activities.
• Engage with children respectfully, kindly, and joyfully to promote an environment of natural learning through play.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor play and learning.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children, ideally in a childcare setting such as a preschool or daycare center. Excellent references required.
• EEC licensure preferred, ideally with a “Lead Teacher” or “Teacher” certification.
• Associate preferred. 
• English fluency is required. 
• Basic computer skills, such as email, are important. Writing sample is required.
• Background check.
• All candidates must be documented as healthy to work with children and must be able to move freely in the classroom, including sitting on the floor. You must be able to lift a 30 pound child.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30-5:30 (12-month program)

Compensation: 

Nonotuck educators are part of the teachers union. Anticipated salary is $19.79 - $21.84 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, plus competitive benefits including:
