About us

Founded in 1998, Zhang Sah is an independent 501C(3) non-profit organized for the purpose of promoting and providing educational, cultural and athletic programs. Our practice incorporates research based human development strategies with multi-disciplinary martial arts traditions to yield positive outcomes such as educated, fit, resilient, socially mobile and enlightened students. Zhang Sah serves children, youth, and adults by offering educational programs and classes in communities that we serve.

2022 is our 25th season for summer camp! We have full-time and part-time summer positions open. We have immediate positions open for suitable candidates.

Dates: June 20 - August 26th (rolling starts and stops)

Hours: Mon-Fri: 8am - 4:30pm / Extended day 4-6PM

THE ROLE

The ideal candidate loves working with children and have an abundance of energy! You are personable, professional & welcoming. You appreciate diversity, are a team-player, and most of all, you enjoy play and learning and make learning fun! Daily responsibilities include supervising campers, serve a nutritious snack, facilitate project based activities, enrichment and regular youth council meetings.

You will work cooperatively with the rest of our team to provide a fun, welcoming environment in which our students can learn and grow. This is a summer contract position with an opportunity for permanent hire.

Position Responsibilities

• Supervise students at all time
• participate in planning and implementing the daily program and schedule
• Maintain a professional attitude
• Communicate with parents using apps, newsletters, emails and in person
• Help maintain a sanitized, clean, neat and organized classroom
• Perform light duty cleaning & housekeeping
• Some Work outdoors

Position Requirements:

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in ECE, education, Human Services, Liberal Arts
• Required: enrolled in college working towards an Associates or Bachelors Degree (completed or in-progress) and a minimum of 2 years experience working with children
• High energy, a passion for teaching
• Lift up to 40 pounds
• Climb up stairs

Other Candidate Preferences:

• Majors: Education, Early Childhood Education, Humanities
• Work Study
• Foreign language experience (Spanish, Chinese) is a plus!
• Special skills or interests (dance, gymnastics, music, sports, art, tech)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Salary: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
