The Leader Recruitment and Support Specialist is responsible for recruiting Group Leaders and Guest Speakers from diverse backgrounds and communities for PEPS Groups. The specialist will have experience in facilitation and enjoy working on childhood education and development, acting as an integral member of the team in moving PEPS towards the mission to connect parents to strengthen families and build community through our programs. They will support Leader training and occasionally facilitate PEPS Groups. The Specialist will also work to ensure consistent, quality PEPS Group experiences for participants through the use of technology along with inclusive and sensitive community engagement.
The PEPS mission is to connect parents to strengthen families and build community. Since 1983, the Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS), a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization has helped parents connect and grow as they begin their journey into parenthood. PEPS parent support programs educate, inform and create community. We've become a vital resource for new parents in the Puget Sound region, with parent groups serving thousands of families annually.

Compensation: This position will be 36-40 hours a week. The number of hours will be discussed during the interview process. The expected pay range for this full-time position is $25-$27 per hour, based on experience.

Office Location: PEPS is located in Seattle, Washington with the main office in the historic Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford, adjacent to Meridian Park and the beautiful Seattle Tilth Gardens. There is a satellite office in the Parent Trust building in the Rainier Valley. Both locations have ample parking and are close to public transit.
Workspace: Due to the ongoing pandemic, PEPS is currently operating virtually with staff mostly working from home with the option of using PEPS office space if they wish. This role will require some in-person training during onboarding, as well as other occasional in-person meetings and events. The specialist may be required to have availability on weeknights and weekends for Leader training, events, and leading PEPS Groups.
