MiracleFeet is a global nonprofit working to eliminate a leading cause of physical disability worldwide. Over two million children live with the severe consequences of a treatable birth defect known as clubfoot, and 175,000 more babies are born with it every year. Thanks to a non-surgical solution called the Ponseti method, 95 percent of cases can be fully treated for less than $500. Since 2010, MiracleFeet has scaled this proven, low-cost treatment to 29 countries where children previously had limited or no access to care.

MiracleFeet is a data-driven organization, and hundreds of stakeholders use our data and reporting technologies every day to inform their work and drive decision-making. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious entry-level data analyst to build an exciting career in data analysis while making a difference in the lives of children all over the world.

The Data Analyst is the expert in MiracleFeet’s data and the use of data to allow partners, providers, staff, and leadership make better, more informed decisions that lead to improved treatment outcomes for children born with clubfoot and increased access to treatment. While all MiracleFeet staff, program partners, and treatment providers are expected to understand and use data for decision-making, reporting, research, and to inform discussions, the Data Analyst is the primary person responsible for understanding MiracleFeet’s data structures and analyzing, mining, using, and reporting on this data. The Data Analyst will also help develop MiracleFeet staff and partner data analysis capabilities and skills and drive more self-service and familiarity with our data.

MiracleFeet utilizes Salesforce (primary) and Excel (supplemental) as our database analysis systems. MiracleFeet partners and treatment providers can access clinic- and country-level data through the CAST Community - a Salesforce portal where pre-populated reports and dashboards are made available to users. MiracleFeet actively collects and analyzes the following data in Salesforce:

·      Patient medical records: MiracleFeet’s CAST (Clubfoot Administration SysTem) mobile application (Android-based; built on Dimagi’s CommCare platform) collects data at the point

of treatment. The OpenFn integration platform renders patient data collected from CAST into Salesforce.

·      Treatment Quality data: Globally accepted treatment quality indicators are rendered in Salesforce on our Global KPI Dashboard.

·      Patient Enrollment data: Monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment figures

·      Grant Agreements: MiracleFeet keeps all partner Grant Agreements (currently 30+ partners), budget information, and M&E data (Objectives, Indicators, Targets, and Results) in Amp Impact, a Salesforce-based portfolio management tool.

·      The MiracleFeet Brace: Inventory, orders, and shipments of MiracleFeet’s foot abduction brace are managed within Salesforce, and brace distribution metrics are captured in our Brace Dashboard

The Data Analyst will also provide administrative support to the Director of Program Solutions in the development and rollout of technology and digital solutions, MiracleFeet brace ordering, and other ad hoc administrative requests. The Data Analyst reports to the Director of Program Solutions, is an integral part of the MiracleFeet HQ Data and BI Solutions team, and works closely with all MiracleFeet staff, partner Country Coordinators, and treatment providers in MiracleFeet-supported clinics.
