Resettlement Manager

Scope:

The Resettlement Manager oversees the development, implementation, and completion of all grants, contracts and activities related to the following programs: resettlement services, particularly associated with the immediate needs of recently resettled refugees in the Reception and Placement, Refugee Support Services, and Preferred Communities programs. Responsibilities include supervision of program supervisors to ensure compliance with funder requirements.  This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to Senior Program Manager, Direct Services.

Responsibilities:

Oversight of Programs:

• Effectively manage the development, implementation, compliance, and completion of all service grants and contracts.
• ​Oversee program budgets and manage expenses to ensure costs are maintained within allocated budgets.
• Accountable for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of services and programmatic data to donors and all relevant parties.
• Provide leadership to ensure that the resettlement team develops and maintains partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate closely with other program managers and IRC staff to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
• Report regularly to the Senior Program Manager on activities and results as well as areas of concern.
• Participate as active member of the Arizona Leadership Team and relevant internal and external groups.

​Leadership and Supervision of Resettlement Team:

• Manage a team in accordance with IRC’s People Manager Standards.  Train and provide leadership to staff in all aspects of programs responsibilities.
• Develop, implement, and ensure compliance of internal program policies and procedures. 
• Serve as point person and resettlement team representative for collaboration and correspondence with stakeholders including partner agencies, service providers, and donors.
• Represent the resettlement team within the IRC network in conferences, working groups and other contexts.
• Facilitate interdepartmental communication and information sharing for monthly newsletters, program reports, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• University undergraduate degree required (four year, B.A./B.S.); an advanced degree in social work or other human services field is preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in providing direct services to refugees is required; a minimum of one (1) year of supervising case workers in a refugee resettlement setting is preferred
• Experience managing a team of direct service providers is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to promote an organizational culture that reflects IRC’s core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality.  Ability to lead in a way that recognizes that IRC’s work is best accomplished through the true collaboration of individuals from many cultures with a great variety of skills and perspectives.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in working with MS Office applications, with strong command of Excel
• Reliable, professional, resourceful, team-oriented and sensitive to cultural differences
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in a multicultural environment

Working Environment:

• A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.
• May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
