Overview
The Communications and Marketing Manager spearheads the overall communications, outreach, and promotional efforts of CAPA under the direction of the Executive Director. The ultimate goal of this position is to increase engagement among all CAPA programs and raise awareness of both the association and the PA profession. This position also supports the Executive Director approximately 10% of their time.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement marketing and communication plans to promote CAPA events, programs, membership, and advocacy
• Manage and create content for CAPA’s regular publications: quarterly print magazine, monthly electronic newsletter, monthly email promotion of CAPA activities
• Manage and create/update content for CAPA’s website
• Collaborate with Executive Director on the research, development, and content creation for CAPA’s practice support service and library
• Manage and create regular content for CAPA’s four social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter
• Track and report on the progress and effectiveness of CAPA’s marketing strategies
• Support the Executive Director in CAPA’s digital ad retargeting campaigns
• Collaborate with the CAPA team in developing CAPA’s annual membership renewal and recruitment direct mail packet
• Collaborate with the Executive Director on the development of a media and outreach plan to raise awareness of the PA profession among CAPA’s target demographics
• Support and facilitate activities with the Professional Practice Committee
• Support and facilitate activities with the Public Outreach Committee
• Provide excellent customer service to members on the phone, in-person, and all communications
• Assist the Executive Director in drafting and sending correspondence on their behalf, as necessary
• Perform or assist other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Executive Director
