Uncommon Schools is a nonprofit network of successful charter public schools that are closing the academic achievement gap and preparing students from historically underserved communities for success in college and beyond. Uncommon currently manages 57 schools serving more than 20,000 students in six cities: Boston, Camden, New York City, Newark, Rochester, and Troy. Uncommon graduates persist in and graduate from college at rates far higher than their peers. This role would primarily be responsible for supporting and executing selection work for instructional, various school support and other specialized role hiring across Brooklyn, and support leave and vacancy coverage as needed. They will leverage our ATS and existing systems, processes, and trackers to ensure a strong candidate and leader experience by managing candidate engagement via applications, screening, sourcing, and interview prep. Additionally, this person will manage substitute teacher, school aide, and teacher assistant selection.
