Be part of the change as the Network Engagement Specialist. 

The CFBNJ is looking for a fulltime Network Engagement Specialist to serve as a vital first point of contact with our partners, a network of nearly 800 non-profit organizations that include food pantries, soup kitchens, senior and child-nutrition programs, etc. As a member of the Network Engagement Specialist team, you will advocate for our community partners by developing, strengthening, and supporting relationships with the organizations that serve our neighbors in need. You will foster outstanding partner experiences in your assigned service area/s and effectively collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Representing CFBNJ at local and regional community events (virtual and in-person, as allowed) to further the CFBNJ mission of fighting hunger and food insecurity.  
  • Identifying new potential partners and conduct onboarding and training to ensure our Partners have the tools and resources necessary to support the communities they serve. 
  • Assisting partners with product orders to ensure community food needs are met. 
  • Conducting regular site visits of network partners for inspections, collection of relevant records, compliance standards, and reporting
  • Engaging consistently and proactively with our partners 
  • Implementing key policies and procedures. 
  • Assist in the transition to a paperless operation. 

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience with community/school partnerships. 
  • Exceptional level of experience in the areas of network engagement, compliance, and technical support.  
  • Comfort level with change and readiness to adapt to unforeseen circumstances. 
  • Outstanding ability to identify problems, recognize trends and solve challenges independently. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Bilingual a plus (Spanish, Creole and Bengali). 
  • Flexible work schedule required 
  • Must possess a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, ability to carry up to 40 pounds
