    THIS OPPORTUNITY 

    The Development Officer reports to the Development Manager and is a member of the Advancement team. The Development Officer will play a key role in creating and implementing the administrative activities that are the backbone for campaign management, major gifts fundraising, projects and events. The top responsibilities for this role include: 1) conducting gift entry, processing, reconciliation and acknowledgment; 2) enhancing the development team’s use of its CRM, Salesforce, by entering data, editing and entering contact reports, and creating next steps in a CRM (Salesforce); 3) supporting a highly effective grants program regularly generating $500k+ annually; and 4) leading administrative projects to support the team. To excel in their role, the development officer will be a detail-orientated professional with a penchant for performing tasks efficiently and accurately. They will also be highly organized and able to routinize recurring responsibilities. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service orientation and is experienced with a cloud-based CRM system such as Salesforce.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    • Ensure accurate and timely donor data entry and reporting including managing all aspects of the gift process (tracking, acknowledgement and reporting).
    • Serve as the point-person for data entry in CRM (Salesforce) including auditing and updating records on an ongoing basis.
    • Support the moves management process by recording strategies for relationship management, entering contact reports, turning notes into narrative form, proactively identifying profile characteristics and next step tasks to be entered or created for front-line fundraising activities.
    • Manage named scholarship program in collaboration with internal partners, providing timely and accurate reports to donors while maintaining a positive experience for Scholars.
    • Support the Development Manager in administering the grants program by tracking applications, handling all reporting, and completing simple grant applications.
    • Manage operational and administrative activities to support the effective and efficient functioning of all development team members – includes tasks such as coordinating mass mailings, developing and refining processes with the team, printing name badges, tracking event registrations and organizing potential prospects in spreadsheet form.
    • Provide administrative support for fundraising events.
    • Maintain the highest ethical standards of the fundraising profession.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Compensación

    • Support for setting up and optimizing home office ($500 to set up a home office plus $35 per month thereafter; $65 per month cell phone stipend)
