Executive Director

Greater Attleboro Area Council for Children is a volunteer-run non-profit organization with a mission centered on the needs of children in our community. We are looking to align our administrative processes to assist with the growth of our programs and add to our team. We recognize the need to hire an experienced Executive Director to oversee all operations, functions, and activities, including programming and fundraising in coordination with the board and key volunteers.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Collaborate with the Board of Directors to identify, create, and implement strategic plans to actualize the organization’s mission and objectives.
• Identify potential sources of funding and organize fundraising efforts.
• Monitor organization’s operations and ensure those involved (board members and volunteers) meet regulatory and legal requirements.
• Develop the organizational culture that promotes transparency and collaboration throughout the organization.
• Develop partnerships with company stakeholders, industry regulators, and other relevant parties.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities within the organization and its environment to protect the organization’s interests.
• Represent the company at social and corporate events in ways that strengthen the brand and communicate the organization’s message.

Required Skills

• Well-organized, motivated individual, with strong communication skills (oral, written, and listening)
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated
• Non-profit leadership experience
• Grant Writing Skills (preferable)
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, cloud-based networking, email, and Constant Contact
• Experience managing volunteers
• Marketing experience including social media development
• Experience in developing strategies and plans
• Experience in developing budgets
• An analytical mind capable of out-of-the-box thinking to solve problems

This individual must be of high character and integrity, be well-connected within the community, possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and work well within a team. 

This position will be a full-time hybrid with some non-traditional hours during seasonal programming. 

Must be willing to undergo CORI and criminal background checks. Must be authorized to work in the US.
