TITLE: Clinical Director

SCHEDULE: Full-time position, 40 hours per week

SALARY: Competitive salary package offered depending on experience

Homeless Children’s Network is a community-based organization providing mental health and family support services to children and families who are homeless and formerly homeless. This position is responsible for overseeing and developing the Clinical department including hiring, supervision, evaluation and scheduling. Develop, plan and implement strategies for program continuation and growth. Provide clinical training to clinical staff and interns. This position must have a positive and supportive attitude toward the agency and its overall success. This position provides both clinical and personnel supervision to the clinical staff. Must have the ability to solve problems and have good decision making and critical thinking skills.

Job Qualifications:

·        Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist

·        Five years of progressively responsible non- profit program management experience and staff supervision.

·        Proven experience understanding and demonstrated ability to generate revenue for clinical services

·        Experience with Medi-Cal, and other types of client billing

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software (AVATAR)

·        Experience and confidence identifying and implementing evidence-based practices

·        Experience working in crisis setting with individuals and families

·        Ability to work flexible hours

·        Program development evaluation, solid organizational skills

·        Strong written and oral communication skills

·        Commitment to maintain confidentiality

·        Good inter-personal skills, ability to relate well with persons from a variety of cultural groups

·        Carry out other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Essential Functions:

·        Supervise the clinical department following the agency mission demonstrated by setting departmental goals and objectives

·        Evaluate existing contract compliance, monitoring, and reporting to ensure all goals are met.

·        Work effectively with Finance staff to develop an efficient billing system

·        Work with management team to assure successful communication and coordination and participate in strategic planning

·        Provide clinical supervision to non- licensed therapist and clinical interns

·        Manage concerns relating to coverage, productivity, customer service skills, and workload expectations.

·        Recruitment of clinical interns, conduct outreach and maintain working relationships with graduate schools

·        Supervise referral process and step in to support concerns with community partners

·        Work closely with Program Director and Executive Director to support programs and staff

·        Be an active part of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new clinical staff

·        Oversee clinical supervision and training programs

·        Oversee internship/trainee program for graduate level interns

·        Work with Quality Assurance department to ensure clinical best practices and compliance of all clinical documentation
