New Alternatives for Children, Inc. (NAC) is an award-winning not-for-profit agency in Midtown Manhattan, with a satellite Bronx office, dedicated to serving children and families with medical complexity, chronic health conditions, significant disabilities and behavioral challenges. To assist in achieving this mission, NAC is currently seeking a Facilities Assistant to join its Office Services.
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Office Services, the Facilities Assistant has the primary responsibility for assisting in maintaining the office environment in such a way to promote safety. It is the role of the Facilities Assistant to follow daily, weekly and monthly task schedules including, but not limited to all office, client, storage, restroom, kitchen and general use areas. These duties include building and facility maintenance responsibilities. The Facilities Assistant will also provide Reception Coverage on some weekends and weekday evenings.

Schedule: Weekdays from 12-8pm; daytime hours on some Saturdays or Sundays
Description of Responsibilities:
a) Need for cleaning supplies or equipment to perform responsibilities.
b) Water leaks and other facility damage or needs.
c) All safety hazards noticed.
Required Education and Experience:
· High school or equivalent (Preferred)
