Position Purpose: This position assures that NACHC has and implements consistent system-level strategies for strengthening and improving health center operations and value-based transformation through robust and strong relationships with Health Center Controlled Networks (HCCN) and payer organizations.

 

This position provides content expertise, partnership connections and systems understanding focused on costs, quality and patient/provider satisfaction. The position advances health center performance improvement through higher-level coordination and strategic, systems-level work across NACHC divisions, health center networks, and other stakeholders, including Federal and State government officials. Networks are defined broadly as those organizations which can improve the financial performance, operational productivity, and efficiency of health centers.


This position directly advances NACHC’s Strategic Pillars:

  • Update and improve care models to meet the evolving needs of the communities served; and
  • Cultivate and strengthen mutually beneficial partnerships to advance the shared mission of improving community health.

Essential Functions

  • Advance health center operational performance improvement through on-going data analysis and industry monitoring. As a result of this analysis, directly inform NACHC’s work with Health Center Controlled Networks, state-based Primary Care Associations (PCAs), payer entities and health care/hospital systems in which health centers operate. Support readiness and implementation of volume to value-based care delivery and payment.
  • Strengthen the relationship between NACHC and networks which may be achieved through traditional or non-traditional partnerships. Assure networks and NACHC programs are complementary.                                                                                                                                                     
  • Promote more effective coordination internally at NACHC across Divisions and externally, between networks and key stakeholders. Increase internal and external understanding of network services. Identify and replicate promising practices and assure strategic coordination of issues. Specific examples of coordination venues include Health Center Controlled Network Task Force, Health Resources and Services Administration strategy and programmatic meetings, and HCCN Senior Leader Orientation.
  • Create meaningful communication that identifies issues or problems, opportunities for improvement, and provides the necessary follow-up. Assure cross-NACHC participation and dialogue in matters affecting networks and PCAs.      
  • Assure training content coordination, reduce duplication, and highlight strategic and relevant topics through the development, facilitation and delivery of educational opportunities for HCCNs; modalities may include national meetings, conferences, webinars and technical assistance. 
  • Other duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) with education or training in health care/public/business administration or policy.
  • Five years’ work experience in managed and/or accountable care organizations, payer/financing, population health management, health system or related organizations. Work experience preferred includes system-wide or enterprise-wide partnerships, data tracking and analysis of process and outcome metrics, formulating or implementing program/ policy concepts and convening diverse groups that work on systems level.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills as evidenced by advanced planning and execution within budget and timeframes using project management tools
  • Experienced in assuring quality deliverables, grants compliance and reporting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth with an interest in learning and mastering new skills.
  • Creative, innovative and inquisitive in problem solving and judgment, with an ability to maintain a professional, team-oriented and positive attitude.
  • Highly skilled in evaluation, data collection, data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Works effectively (prioritize, multi-task, deliver on-time) with minimal errors and direction.
  • Some travel required, as safe and appropriate (approximately 15%).
