Sawhorse Revolution’s P.M. assists in youth mentorship and build in our Change Builders Summer Program, teaching youth carpentry and architecture through community building projects. The PM increases program quality, eases the burden of programs on S.R. staff, and introduces new people to the unique demands of running Sawhorse Revolution programs. The Change Builders P.A. works directly with the program manager and helps facilitate mentorship during the build program yet will offer assistance in a multitude of tasks to support the program if needed.

Team meetings before, during, and after the program will be essential, as well as adjusting the requirements of the job as needed. General responsibilities and program schedules may change depending on the project at hand. Sawhorse Revolution is an ever-changing organism, and all staff are required to shift with its needs, sometimes on-the-fly, to keep the organization smoothly operating. PM. duties may not be comprehensively listed below, but they represent a strong sampling of tasks required.

Summer Program Description: Change Builders is a collaborative build program with Seattle Skills Center to learn life skills and prepare for a career in the construction trades. We will be swinging hammers on two different projects in partnership and service of community organizations Deaf Spotlight and Estelita’s Library. This program will encompass two job sites: one in which two small structures are being built for our Tiny Cultural Program for Deaf Spotlight, and the other is an Expansion project for our long-term partner, Estelita’s Library. Both projects will each have around 13 folks on site (8ish students/4-6 adults) in the Central District.
