ABOUT PARKINSON’S REVOLUTION:

Parkinson’s Revolution is an indoor cycling event that raises funds and awareness for the Parkinson’s Foundation. The event happens for 1 day across the country and attracts indoor and outdoor cyclists who want to make a difference while breaking a sweat. In 2021, there were Parkinson’s Revolution events in 25 cities. In 2022, Parkinson’s Revolution will expand to 35 cities with a goal of raising $550,000 and recruiting 2,100 riders. The Coordinator must be available on 2/26/2022 to staff the event.


The Revolution Event Coordinator will be responsible for participant recruitment and stewardship, fundraising strategy, logistical support, and on-site event production for the 2022 Revolution season.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee logistics, fundraising, and event production for 2- 4 Revolution events including:
  • Secure spin studio locations
  • Source local vendors for event production
  • Remotely plan and execute event day
  • Maintain meticulous records of invoices, contracts, and recruitment materials
  • Recruit participants and support their fundraising, training, and encourage overperformance
  • Work collaboratively with field staff and volunteer leaders
  • Procure event merchandise and promotional materials
  • Oversee vendor invoice and payments, purchasing transactions and vendor set-up
  • Provide exceptional customer service over the phone, via email, and in-person
  • Be knowledgeable about Parkinson’s disease


EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  •  Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of experience in management of events, preferably with a non-profit organization
  • Goal driven with a desire to work in fundraising
  • Capable of building and sustaining relationships with staff and a variety of external individuals and organizations
  • Self-motivated, results oriented team member with strong organizational skills
  •  Outgoing, energetic, with strong written, verbal and problem-solving skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to adhere to timelines and prioritize
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office suite
  • Familiarity with Luminate CRM, Raiser’s Edge, or equivalent is a plus
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must have valid drivers’ license
  • Ability to travel up to 20% and available for event day 2.26.2022

COMPENSATION:

Compensation for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.
