The Young Adult Recruitment and Programming Coordinator role focuses on the daily operations, organization, and resource allocation for program-wide recruitment, admissions, and retention of Grace Institute participants with specific focus on young adults (ages 18-25). In addition to developing a young adult recruitment strategy for Grace Institute, the Young Adult Recruitment and Programming Coordinator will develop young adult specific programming to engage and retain this population of participants.

The Young Adult Recruitment and Programming Coordinator reports to the Director of Recruitment and Retention and works directly with all departments within Grace Institute to ensure success of Grace Institute participants. The Coordinator will be responsible for providing both remote and in-person services as needed.

The successful candidate will have experience in leading recruitment efforts and community-facing programming within a nonprofit or educational setting toward metrics-driven results. They will have experience recruiting, motivating, and addressing youth-specific concerns and a commitment to Grace Institute’s mission of moving women forward.

The responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Develop systemic engagement strategies for participants with a specialized focus on youth (ages 18-25) during the recruitment, admissions, and training portions of the program
  • As a member of the Recruitment and Retention team, collaborate to meet the annual recruitment goal of 300+ participants annually across Grace Institute's training cohorts.
  • Manage the strategy and implementation of remote and in-person recruitment, admissions, and retention services with focus on youth-specific concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Recruitment and Retention in evaluating and implementing, across the organization, programmatic strategy for admissions and recruitment.
  • Develop, cultivate, and maintain community partnerships that help refer women to our program, provide additional services to our participants, and increase youth engagement.
  • Work closely with the Director of Recruitment and Retention and all department leaders on strategy surrounding admissions and recruitment with particular emphasis on efforts to ensure a successful intake and admissions process. 
  • Develop programming to engage, retain, and develop the special skill set of an  increased population of young adults
  • Help create and maintain a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace, and learning environment.
  • Consistently exhibit Grace Core values during the performance of the job
  • Attend staff training and meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Experience in program recruitment and community-facing efforts with ability to furnish evidence of met and exceeded program metrics. 
  • Familiarity with the direct services nonprofit industry in New York City; connections within the community of young adult providers and/or willingness to quickly acclimate to this community through outward facing efforts.
  • Experience working with youth populations and an understanding of pressing concerns and barriers to employment specific to NYC-based youth.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing departmental strategy within an organization.
  • Degree in nonprofit management, social sciences, social work, or other comparable field preferred.

  • Hybrid work environment 
  • Salary range: $60,000 - 70,000 annually
