ABOUT LSC: Established by Congress in 1974, the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) is the country’s single largest funder of civil legal aid for low-income Americans. LSC currently funds 132 independent nonprofit legal aid organizations with more than 800 offices throughout the nation. LSC’s mission is to promote equal access to justice and provide grants for high-quality civil legal assistance to low-income Americans. 

This position will require working from an office in Washington, D.C., but is remote until LSC returns to in-office work. The successful candidate must live in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

BASIC FUNCTION: The Multimedia Manager produces video, photographic, and graphic materials for web and print to meet the multimedia needs of the Legal Services Corporation. Reports to the Director of Communications and Media Relations. Moderate travel is required. This position is included in a collective bargaining unit represented by the International Federation of Professional & Technical Engineers, Local 135.



  • Plans, shoots, produces, and edits video for external and internal events and initiatives, including LSC Board meetings, judicial forums, and Congressional briefings.
  • Manages live streaming of LSC events as needed, including Congressional briefings. 
  • Maintains and updates LSC accounts on video-sharing sites including Vimeo and YouTube. Regularly posts videos. Records and edits LSC’s podcasts.
  • Coordinates closed captioning of videos with outside vendors. 
  • Shoots, edits, shares, and posts still photography for internal and external events as needed. 
  • Works with Communications Manager to design and produce event programs, posters, and other communications materials. 
  • Works with Web Content Manager to produce graphics and other materials for LSC’s website, social media, intranet, and other online uses. 
  • Maintains organized and comprehensive multimedia files.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of experience in multimedia design, art, graphic design, or a related field, or any equivalent amount of education and relevant experience totaling at least nine years. Advanced knowledge and experience with video production and editing. Experience with the following: setting up and using video and live streaming equipment in off-site locations; shooting and editing still photography for digital and print communications; graphic design for digital and print communications. Experience with relevant multimedia software including Final Cut Pro X and other video production software; Adobe Creative Cloud and other publishing, photo editing, podcast, and graphic design software. 



Salary: $90,252; Step 1

Salary range: $90,252 - $101,653


LSC has a competitive market-based salary structure that establishes a specific salary range for this position. The salary range has eight pay levels separated by seven steps. A new employee will be hired at Step 1 and must wait two years to advance to each of the next three steps (Steps 2 through 4), and one year to advance to each of the next four steps (Steps 5 through 8).
