Position Description:

The Annual Giving and Alumni Manager is responsible for designing and managing a comprehensive and strategic effort to reach annual philanthropic goals and objectives. This person is a member of the Development team, which includes the Director of Development, Events and Community Engagement Manager, and Development and Communications Coordinator. The primary function of this role is to support the engagement and outreach efforts of the Development team to advance the culture of philanthropy and the mission of the school. They will be responsible for assisting the Director of Development with the coordination of the Annual Fund, the spring fundraiser, alumni relations, and development events. They will work closely with volunteers in all fundraising activities throughout the course of the year. This is a full-time, exempt, fiscal year, administrative position that reports to the Director of Development.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:   

  • Create and implement a data-driven strategy and plan for the fall Annual Fund campaign and spring fundraising event
  • Partner with the Director of Development to develop and execute annual and long-range objectives for Epiphany School fundraising activities
  • Partner with the Director of Development to recruit and support the efforts of the Giving Committee, comprised of 20+ individuals spanning multiple constituencies
  • Draft solicitation brochures, appeal letters, and acknowledgements
  • Serve as the project manager of the Annual Impact Report, working directly with the Director of Development and Director of Marketing and Communications
  • Draft development-related pieces for school publications, correspondence with parents, donors, alumni, and other items as needed
  • Develop and implement strategies for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors
  • Responsible for growing a comprehensive alumni program for Epiphany School and strengthening constituent relationships
  • Planning, event production, and execution of all alumni programs, events, and communications, to include a bi-annual alumni newsletter
  • Lead communication and print materials for Annual Fund and spring fundraising event
  • Assist with developing a marketing and communication plan for all development-related items
  • Assist the Director of Development and partner with the Events and Community Engagement Manager on recruiting and supporting volunteers for spring fundraising event
  • Serve as the spring fundraising event development team lead; manage ticket promotion, procurement, and day-of-event execution as it relates to philanthropy
  • Oversee prompt tracking and acknowledgement of gifts and pledges, as well as corporate matching and in-kind gifts
  • Identify and prepare grant proposals and associated foundation reporting
  • Support major gifts efforts and other development priorities as assigned by the Director of Development

 

Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education in a relevant field  
  • At least four or more years’ experience in non-profit or independent school advancement
  • Superior organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Experience soliciting gifts and stewarding donors preferred but not required                  
  • Detail-oriented, efficient professional able to maintain highly confidential information
  • Strong database management and Excel skills and experience; literacy with MS Office applications, donor database applications, and special event (i.e., auction) applications
  • Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT a plu
  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, parents, and the school community by telephone, email, and in person
  • Skilled at building relationships with donors, parents, Board members, and other stakeholders
  • Self-starter with track record of demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and sensitivity to others
  • Ability to work with detailed information with a high degree of accuracy
  • High energy – brings a sense of urgency to the organization

Compensación

The salary range for this role is between $80,000 and $90,000 based on years of experience, education, and internal equity.
