We are a self-sustainable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is a national leader in digital inclusion. Our core services include IT asset management, computer refurbishing, computer distribution, internet sales, digital literacy training, and ongoing technical support. Guided by strong leadership and a dedicated team, we have provided computers to over 450,000 people, 250,000 have the ability to access to mobile internet, and we have recycled millions of pounds of electronics. 

Job Description

PCs for People is looking for an energetic individual who is interested in leading HR operations for PCs for People. This full-time position is responsible for reviewing, monitoring and implementing PCs for People’s day-to-day HR operations. The HR Director develops and manages the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs. The HR Director enhances the organization’s human resources by coordinating employee relations, employee retention, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment. Job Duties

• Employment and Employee Relations with proven experience in the development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of HRIS systems including intranet
• Management of company-wide job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
• Enhance existing onboarding processes and assure quality onboarding for all new hired employees
• Lead national recruitment staff
• Facilitate job evaluations and performance reviews with management
• Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth
• Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to the leadership team
• Establishes departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company's strategic goals
• Assure alignment of workforce with strategic goals
• Compensation and Benefits Administration
• Maintain employee benefits programs; research and recommend benefit programs to management; direct the processing of benefit claims
• Obtain and evaluate benefit contract bids and awarding benefit contracts
• Design and conduct educational programs on benefit programs
• Ensure legal compliance with federal and state requirements
• Maintain secure digital records
• Coordinate with legal on any employee disputes
• Ongoing policy development and documentation
• Space - facilitate changes, layout, and administration as needed to assure an inviting environment
• Participates in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Five plus years of leadership experience in a Human Resource position
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline
• Specialized training in employment law, hiring processes, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred, not required
• Some travel to other PCs for People locations may be required
• Diverse recruitment practices

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

• Proven ability to lead organization-wide Human Resources including culture, retention, recruitment, policies, and systems
• Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with employment law, practices, policies, and PCs for People’s objectives
• Must have strong knowledge and understanding of Human Resource concepts and employment laws
• Demonstrate the ability to protect confidential information
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of attention to detail
• Operational aptitude to align workforce needs with company performance requirements
• Ability to build supportive professional relationships with diverse individuals from all cultures, backgrounds and at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
• Proficient with Google Apps Suite (G Suite), MS Office suite and other common Human Resource software

Benefits

We are a growing nonprofit and expect this position to help manage continued growth. We have a casual, fun, team-oriented environment. Benefits package includes 401k, health, dental, and PTO. Salary is expected to be between $80,000 - $105,000.
