    About The Care Center:

    The Care Center is a comprehensive and transformative educational program located in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Our mission is to provide opportunities for young mothers and all women facing systemic barriers to resume their education and acquire the education, resources, and skills for lifelong growth, wellness, and economic stability. We offer three integrated programs. Our award-winning high school equivalency program for parents under 24 pairs small-setting HiSET (GED) preparation classes with athletics, art, and poetry. Our highly supportive part-time college courses and fulltime onsite Bard Microcollege Holyoke associates degree program provide opportunities for women of all ages to begin or resume their studies. Support services to aid success include onsite daycare, nurse services, door-to-door transportation, breakfast and lunch, an individual counselor for each student, and housing resources.

    Position Summary:

    The Enrollment Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for prospective students and families, guiding them through enrollment in The Care Center’s programs and onsite daycare with professionalism, warmth, and care. This role ensures a seamless and welcoming experience from initial inquiry through orientation, helping families understand available programs, access services, and complete all necessary steps. The Enrollment Coordinator also fosters strong relationships with community partners to support smooth referrals and ensure that students and families are connected to the resources they need to succeed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Respond to program inquiries, provide information, and direct prospective students to the appropriate program.
    • Manage intake for prospective HiSET students by gathering information, scheduling and confirming orientations, following up on missed appointments, and maintaining contact with families and referral sources.
    • Conduct orientations for HiSET students, including program overview, building tours, placement testing, permissions, and transportation arrangements.
    • Support students and families with onsite daycare enrollment, guiding them through eligibility, vouchers, applications, and required documentation.
    • Serve as a primary contact for local welfare staff (DTA), ensuring referrals are in place and communication requirements are met.
    • Build and track relationships with referral sources in partnership with the Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator.
    • Maintain organized enrollment materials, perform accurate data entry, and support outreach efforts to strengthen referral partnerships.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Commitment to The Care Center’s mission and values and to supporting the communities The Care Center serves.
    • Familiarity with welfare systems and daycare enrollment processes.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Experience working with individuals from a wide range of cultural and economic backgrounds.
    • Welcoming and professional presence and adherence to strict confidentiality.
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage paperwork, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
    • Problem-solving skills and persistence in supporting families through the enrollment process.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, families, and community partners.
    • Proficiency with Google Suite and data entry, with the ability to maintain accurate records and track enrollment information.
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
    • Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
    • Must pass comprehensive Background Record Check.

    Hours and Location:

    The Care Center is located at 247 Cabot Street in Holyoke. This is a full-time exempt position for 35 hours per week. General work hours are 8:30am-3:30pm at The Care Center, with the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    The salary for this position is $60,000 per year. Benefits include 19 vacation days; 12 sick days; office closures in the first week of July and between Christmas and New Years; 12 paid holidays; 70% of health insurance; 100% of life and disability insurance; and a 401(k) direct employer contribution and employee match.
