Are you passionate about making the world a better place? At Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington, it's our mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Staff supports a network of dedicated volunteers who bring Girl Scouts programming to young women in their community. Girl Scouts has been equipping girls to achieve their full potential since 1912—and today, Girl Scouts stands as the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. With Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young women, adult volunteers, and the world.

  • Serve as an expert on SU and troop/group financial policies and procedures, support compliance, and provide recommendations. Act as a resource to SU and troop/group treasurers to ensure compliance with council policies and procedures.
  • With the input of the CFO, design and deliver training and information to SU treasurers and teams, troop/group treasurers, and other staff.
  • Perform essential duties of the SU treasurer if none has been appointed. This may include, but is not limited to:
  • Supporting troop/group volunteers through the financial process;
  • Working with finance to distribute SU funds to volunteers;
  • Reconcile the SU account monthly and annually;
  • Review and approve all troop/group financial reports; and
  • Provide transparency of the financial process with volunteers in the SU.
  • Serve as an internal resource to staff regarding financial impacts (e.g., cookies, travel, donations), helping to improve the financial integrity and preparedness of their financial processes.
  • Track troop/group finances (est. $2M/year) in a way that promotes accuracy and data security. Provide accurate troop/group and SU financial data to appropriate audiences.
  • Ensure clear communication of troop/group and SU financial status to the CFO.
  • Maintain timely, accurate records of activities and customer interactions in the customer relations management software and other information-sharing tools.
