Director, Strategic Partnerships

We are seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships to secure financial resources and develop mission-aligned partnerships with major corporations nationwide in support of our ongoing operations and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Development, the Director of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for meeting annual fundraising goals through engagement with corporations (corporate foundations, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) & HR (Human Resources) divisions, and corporate marketing/communications teams) and other national sponsors. The role is responsible for leveraging Multiplying Good’s existing corporate partnerships (20+ current partners) to maximize engagement, and sourcing new relationships that align with the organization’s strategic priorities. This individual handles effective pipeline management including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts for regional and corporate sponsors to help fuel organizational growth and scale. The ideal candidate will excel in relationship management and have a successful track record of developing and maintaining strong partnerships with a diverse set of corporate partners. They will have extensive experience engaging with corporate partners through a marketing and communications lens and building mutually beneficial relationships that integrate and align Multiplying Good with partner brands.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for a comprehensive corporate relations and engagement program encompassing 20+ existing relationships with key funders  
  • Building and maintaining new partner relationships  
  • Driving institutional giving strategies forward to achieve ambitious goals that align with MG’s innovation and impact 
  • Delivering deep knowledge of and demonstrated success from a wide range of effective corporate relations engagement strategies 
  • Leveraging marketing/communications experience and relationships to increase institutional partnerships and deepen revenue-based relationships  
  • Stewarding partnerships to achieve significant corporate gifts and broad-based brand awareness 
  • Leading revenue generation across national development revenue streams including event sponsorships, selling corporate fee-for-service program partnerships, building revenue-sharing relationships, and other giving mechanisms 
  • Preparing, maintaining, and updating all contact records in our CRM 
  • Promote a culture of philanthropy organization-wide 



Requirements

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS

  • 7+ years fundraising success engaging with a diverse set of corporations and other philanthropic institutions to secure major gifts and strategic partnerships 
  • Experience working with corporate marketing and communications teams to drive our brand in immersive organizational partnerships 
  • Ability to work effectively in a 100% remote working environment 
  • Demonstrated direct experience building and delivering on institutional fundraising targets 
  • Demonstrated success in achieving results, specifically securing 6+ figure sponsorships 
  • Demonstrated success in meeting individual revenue goals and increasing corporate commitments 
  • Deep understanding and solid grasp of effective business development and relationship management approaches for national corporations 
  • Highly organized, with exceptional project management skills and eye for details and deadlines 
  • Strong, persuasive, and compelling interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization to engage and strategize with colleagues and stakeholders  
  • Support and foster a culture of philanthropy 
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-expectation work environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • MAC or PC literate, with aptitude to use Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Facility and enjoyment of CRM, data, and communications platforms. ZOHO ONE application knowledge a plus (CRM, Survey, Backstage, Campaigns) 
  • Genuine passion for and experience in the promotion of volunteerism, community impact, and youth leadership education 

This position requires occasional ground or air travel throughout the United States to execute against objectives as needed. It also includes occasional travel for national staff retreats or community-building events (location varies within the U.S.) and to the national Jefferson Awards held annually in New York, NY or Washington, DC. 


Benefits

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Compensation ranges from $75,000 - $95,000 dependent upon experience and location, and benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage as well as a generous PTO policy and monthly technology allowance.
