    About ChiFresh

    ChiFresh Kitchen is a local, Black-owned food service contractor. We provide freshly cooked, beautifully seasoned, nutritious meals to institutions that serve kids, seniors, and other Chicago residents, prioritizing communities on the south and west sides of the city. ChiFresh is structured as a worker cooperative, which means everyone from the cook to the delivery drivers are able to become co-owners of the business.

    Skills + Responsibilities

    Marketing & Communications (40%)

    • Build and grow ChiFresh’s social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
    • Pitch and secure earned media opportunities (press, blogs, community outlets).
    • Create marketing materials (flyers, decks, one-pagers) in Canva or similar tools.
    • Track and report marketing performance metrics.

    Sales Development & Support (40%)

    • Partner deeply with Kim, ChiFresh’s founding Business Development Lead, on lead generation, outreach, and proposal development.
    • Maintain and organize the CRM system: enter, clean, and segment data.
    • Use Excel/Google Sheets to track pipelines, analyze trends, and prepare reports.
    • Support sales enablement with tailored collateral, menus, and case studies.

    Customer Engagement & Account Support (20%)

    • Join customer calls/meetings with Kim to represent ChiFresh.
    • Support the Accounts team with follow-ups and onboarding new clients.
    • Ensure smooth handoffs from sales to accounts.

    Required Skills and Experience

    • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, sales support, or customer success.
    • Strong relationship-building and communication skills across diverse stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability with Excel/Google Sheets (data entry, formulas, pivot tables).
    • Experience working with a CRM system (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar).
    • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
    • Comfortable speaking directly with customers and representing ChiFresh’s values.
    • Highly collaborative, with the ability to join and strengthen a team.
    • Personable and engaging — able to connect with humor and warmth.
    • Patient, entrepreneurial, and self-aware in approach to work.
    • Commitment to cooperative values, economic justice, and ChiFresh’s mission of supporting formerly incarcerated individuals.

    Preferred Skills

    • Graphic design or Canva experience.
    • Familiarity with institutional food service, catering, or CPG.
    • Experience working in a cooperative or social enterprise.
    • Bilingual (especially Spanish) is a plus.

    Pay and Benefits

    • Salary of $65,000
