Campus Climate Action Corps CT Program Associate

About the Program
The Campus Climate Action Corps Connecticut (CCAC CT) Project is a Campus Compact initiative focused on building the capacity of campuses and their community partners to affect behavioral and technical change that leads to energy efficiency and improved at-risk ecosystems for underserved households and communities. In Connecticut, teams of CCAC CT AmeriCorps Members hosted by a partner higher education institution will organize community environmental education events, conduct basic home energy assessments, including home energy assistance referrals, and implement low-tech home energy interventions, to help advance knowledge and motivation to increase energy conservation and reduce carbon emissions. CCAC CT Members will also implement projects in underserved communities that enhance ecosystem health and leverage local volunteers to support CCAC CT environmental stewardship activities.
About the Position
Under the direct supervision of the CCAC CT Program Manager, the CCAC CT Program Associate will work as part of a highly collaborative CCAC program team that also includes a CCAC Program Director, CCAC CT Program Manager, and other staff. Additionally, the CCAC CT team is a part of Compact’s AmeriCorps team, which comprises staff from multiple Compact-sponsored national service programs. The CCAC CT Program Associate is responsible for helping to build and support a team of AmeriCorps members in Connecticut, including member recruitment, host site support, monitoring, and reporting, tracking member records, and providing general member and programmatic support and compliance with the terms and conditions of the program sponsor, AmeriCorps.
This grant-funded, non-exempt position is subject to renewal pending continuation funding.

Location
Campus Compact is headquartered in Boston, MA with a national geographically distributed staff. This position will be based full-time in Connecticut and will work a combination of remote and hybrid at designated host sites. This position is hybrid with general activities being remote-based and in-person duties required at partner campuses and hosts sites.
