Program Coordinator, Community Resources Department

Position Summary:  

The Program Coordinator supports the effective programmatic and administrative functions for the Community Resources Department at UJA-Federation. The right candidate will be familiar with the Jewish non profit sector, be proactive, task- and detail-oriented, able to manage significant responsibility, and multi-task in a complex work environment. 

Community Resources (CR) provides an array of programs and services that strengthen our community and help ensure communal organizations are effective and vibrant. These include talent development for Jewish communal professionals, initiatives to support the synagogues and day school/yeshiva sectors, community-based volunteerism, and mobilization around crisis and emergent issues. 

Major Responsibilities:

• Serve as a vital member of the Community Resources team, providing administrative and programmatic support as needed to scholarship, mentorship, and alumni programming.
• Provide coordination support for the Community Resources team programs, projects, meetings, events and initiatives including High Holy Day listings, Synergy and day school eblasts, alumni programs, web presence, Passover vouchers and Seder listings
• Work with the Talent Development Team on special programs and alumni engagement
• Serve as communications point person for the team
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Inputting and analyzing data in our database systems
• Coordination of external communications calendar and email lists for CR team
• Organize and coordinate use of Library and CR Materials

 Qualifications and Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Two years prior work experience in an office setting
• Full working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with data management systems and ability to learn inhouse donor and grants management systems
• Demonstrated and very strong attention to detail
• Outstanding organizational, verbal, and written skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with others to achieve a common goal
• Organized to the degree necessary to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
• Flexibility to work at events and programs when required, which may be outside of normal business hours
