About the Elizabeth Peabody House:
The Elizabeth Peabody House (EPH) is a community-based nonprofit agency that has provided quality early education, after school care, and other services to residents of the greater Somerville community for over 125 years. We are proud to say that our students and staff are diverse culturally, ethnically and socio-economically. EPH has a strong community and family atmosphere that brings families back for generations. Our afterschool program consists of a variety of activities that fall under the scope of STEM, social/emotional support, movement, media, and art. We partner with several organizations in Somerville and the surrounding areas to strengthen our ties to the community such as Tufts, Boston University, Farrington Nature, the Somerville Media Center and more to provide every child with a wide range of programming opportunities.
About the Program:
EPH is looking for a Site Coordinator for our After School and Summer Programs! Under the supervision of the Afterschool and Summer Program Director, the Site Coordinator plans, coordinates and provides supervision of the OST program to ensure quality services which provide growth in academics, social emotional development and health and wellness and are in compliance with all EEC regulations.
Join us this school year as we explore the deep depths of space, habitats on Earth, solve mysteries, learn about the environment, and how we can help our community! EPH proudly offers two summer programs for year-round enrichment and care. Our on-site program, City Explorers, is based out of our historic Somerville facility while our partnership with Everwood Day Camp in Sharon, MA gives our students the opportunity to leave the city and experience traditional summer camp activities.
The Site Coordinator conducts themself in a caring, responsible, honest, and respectful manner and is a role model for colleagues, staff as well as for program families and students. In addition, they ensure focus on programming that promotes healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development.
